I'm Kayla, a Hunter Valley based wedding photographer documenting weddings throughout Australia and across the world.
My work sits at the intersection of fashion, design and honest storytelling. Inspired by the pages of vintage editorials, the softness of film and the enduring beauty of thoughtful design, I create imagery that feels both contemporary and nostalgic, refined without ever feeling overworked.
I believe the most beautiful photographs are the ones that hold both intention and feeling. The sweeping moments, the quiet in between ones, and the details that often go unnoticed all deserve the same level of care. Every gallery is created with the hope that it won't simply remind you how your wedding looked, but how it felt to be there.
My approach is quietly intentional. From the moment we begin working together, my goal is to create an experience that feels effortless, allowing you to be fully present while I document your day as it naturally unfolds.
With a calm presence and gentle direction where it's needed, I'll guide you through the moments that benefit from it. Whether that's refining your timeline, keeping family portraits relaxed and efficient, or creating space for portraits that feel natural rather than posed. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy.
The photographs I create are for couples who value authenticity as much as artistry. They want to remember not only how their wedding looked, but the energy in the room, the laughter during cocktail hour, the way their friends embraced on the dance floor, and the fleeting moments they never had the chance to witness themselves. My role is to preserve those moments with honesty, elegance and intention, creating images that feel as timeless as the memories they hold.
That experience doesn't end when the wedding does. Every couple receives a beautifully curated preview gallery the following day, allowing you to relive the celebration while the emotions are still fresh. Throughout the editing process, you'll have access to a live gallery queue, so you'll always know exactly where your collection is and when to expect its delivery. It's a thoughtful, transparent experience designed to feel every bit as considered as the photographs themselves.
The couples I work with value presence above perfection. They want the freedom to immerse themselves in their wedding day, knowing every meaningful glance, quiet moment and joyful celebration is being documented with intention. The result is a collection of refined, honest images that transport them back to exactly how it all felt.
- Ethos
As beautiful as the details are, the people are what matter most.
Long after the flowers have faded and the dress is packed away, it's the photographs of the people you love that become priceless. A parents expression during the ceremony. Your grandparents laughing together at dinner. Friends embracing on the dance floor. The quiet, ordinary moments that, with time, become extraordinary.
Some of my most treasured photographs aren't technically perfect or beautifully styled, they're deeply personal. My brothers walking me down the aisle. My sister on the day she was born, which also happened to be my tenth birthday. My pop eating an ice cream while travelling around Australia in the 70s. They're reminders of the people and moments I can never recreate, and that's exactly why they matter.
That's the way I photograph every wedding. While beautiful portraits have their place, my greatest priority is documenting the people who made your day what it was. The conversations you didn't hear, the hugs you didn't see, the laughter across the room while you were caught up in the moment. Those are the photographs that grow more valuable with every passing year.
